This one goes back either to my senior year in high school or my freshman year in college and I’m afraid I’ve lost the brain cells that held that memory. It’s a Tawee strip that was inspired by my dad (as in, I actually witnessed him do this one night). There were only a handful of Tawee comic strips and this was by far the better of them (which isn’t saying much). Fun to see how much and yet how little he’s changed through the years.

And for you kids out there, that’s a television set —TEL-E-VISION. They didn’t mount on the wall, weren’t wide-screen, only got 13 channels, and we had to put rabbit ear antennas on them to—aw, never mind!

From the the studio vault, a Valentine’s card from 1993 featuring my college comic strip characters (from right to left) Gladstone (the strips namesake), Spivey Earhorn, and Tawee. For those who have read the preview, you know that Tawee will play a part in Red’s Planet as well.
