I would find it very surprising if they didn’t have concepts at least remotely similar, assuming that their species can die. They probably wouldn’t need to have those exact concepts necessarily, but the gibbervox would translate it to the closest similar concept for each species.
Even if they were all dead, it wouldn’t change anything from a practical standpoint. If they are dead, there’s nothing they can do about it. If they aren’t dead but assume they are dead, then it will soon be true. So they have to act as if they’re not dead, no matter what their actual state.

I find it hilarious that the aliens have a “Heaven” and “Hell”, or even a concept of the “Afterlife”!!!
