Son, you know better than to trust the one-shoed freaks.

  3. Lee Cherolis says:

Nice nod to Cleopatra in Space! I love seeing the camaraderie in the comics community, especially the SD7 crew.

  4. Rob says:

haha the little dude is reading Cleo! :D Awesome!

  5. Eddie says:

Yes, Stu is reading Cleopatra in Space — but just until I hear from Mike’s attorney.

  6. mouseanderson says:

A big thanks Eddie for creating this little red diversion!
Why does the Dad remind me of someone? Got it, Eugene Levy!
    But what movie?

  7. :D Great job, as always. Live long and prosper!

  8. [...] Yes, it’s true. As Eddie Pittman proved in his always charming sci-fi webcomic, Red’s Planet, this week. [...]

  9. JGJones says:

It’s a great comic and I only noticed the nod to CiS in the last panels – FANTASTIC! :)

  10. LazyReader says:

    They look more like………..

  11. DadaHyena says:

I love how many of these alien designs owe a lot to the animal kingdom. Lilo & Stitch also had a lot of zoo-themed extraterrestrials, and it seems to be working great for you as well (I think most of us get a little tired of the generic ‘white bald humanoid with big black eyes’).

    • Eddie says:

Thanks DadaHyena! I like the idea (at least for Red’s Planet) that intelligent life could have developed from any source).

  12. Barn0wl says:

Having followed the link from “Cleopatra in Spaaaace!” I have to say I am completely thrilled with “Red’s Planet”! First thing I have to say is back during the chase scene … (Chapt 1 pg 16; http://www.redsplanet.com/comic/rp/ch01/chapter-one-16/ ) … that totally happened to me when I was a cop in San Diego in the 70′s. LOL.

Red’s Planet is now one of my newest favorites! Thanks Eddie!

    • Eddie says:

Hey Barn0wl! Thanks for reading — glad you like the story. I, on the other hand, am happy to say the car chase never happened to me! :)

      • Barn0wl says:

Well, fortunately it was just (mostly) water on a rainy street when a fellow officer chased someone going past me. I got wet, but it wasn’t mud! I was the butt of a lot of jokes though. Fortunately I have the capacity to laugh at myself … it was pretty funny. I laughed out loud at that page though.
