Been a crazy week and I’m still way behind! But, I figured I’ve made everyone wait long enough, so here’s the work in progress. Look for the inks in a few hours and color tomorrow.
I moved the pencils and inks to a “Behind the Scenes” blog post. Thanks for everyone’s patience!

Panel 1 CU of RED
RED: Eggs. Poached. Lightly.
Panel 2 Same angle—Red becomes more animated.
RED: 3 pieces of bacon, raisin toast, a BELGIAN WAFFLE covered in strawberries, a chocolate donut with SPRINKLES, french fries...
Panel 3 Same angle—Red is in heaven!
RED: ...and a stack of chocolate chip pancakes SLATHERED in PEANUT BUTTER.
Panel 4 CU Mrs. Foster silently pears at Red from over the top of the refrigerator door.
Panel 5 Wide shot of the fridge. Back to reality, Red walks off as Mrs. Foster looks on.
RED: I know. Go SIT DOWN.
Panel 6 Wide shot of the whole kitchen. Red walks toward a long table full of kids of all ages, shapes, sizes and backgrounds. It's obvious that they aren't related in a biological sense. It's a chaotic scene as they scramble for their breakfast.

Wonderful to see those pencils, Eddie! Great work as always!
Thanks Mike!
Even in B/W, this is awesome.
And I love the old lady’s look over the edge of the fridge door.
Yeah, really. She’s like a female Walter Matthau.
Funny how that turned out— I didn’t intend on her to resemble Matthau. My general rule is to only allow one Walter Matthau influenced character per project.
I know, I know! Go sit down.
Lessons in real life start at an early age, lol.
Walter Matthau with a little bit of Nathan Lane.
