Visual Development – Spaceships and UFOs

For this last day of Non-Comic-Con, I thought it would would be fun to throw in some last minute visual development work I’ve recently done for Red’s Planet.

I hesitate to show too much for fear of giving some things away, so I won’t say much about them other than this is for some upcoming chapters.

Hope it gets you a bit excited about what’s to come! I can promise you, it gets really fun soon!

  2. LazyReader says:

Neat. The one in the middle looks just like a whale. Or a turtle.

  3. LazyReader says:

I guess this will be Red’s home in the future.

The only reason she would be stranded on a planet. If she we’re just dumped on it.

I like the inventiveness of the last two pictures. It’s really hard to come up with a unique shape-ship design, nowadays. Yours are quite clever.

These are some really neat ship designs. A very organic look. Another design I like is found in the comic series “Star Wars: Invasion” the Yuuzhan Vong utilize biological means. All their technology, products, ships, and weapons are living things. The spaceships are indeed have a very coral look.

  7. LazyReader says:

Sorry typo! I was going to say “the spaceships indeed have a very coral look”.

  8. LazyReader says:

The ships on top, thats a cool retro look, where the ship on the bottom appears like an ankylosaurus. The ship in the middle looks like a humpback whale. Now everyone likes whales, but I don’t care what the Sea Shepherds think, humpbacks are weird. They look like they got herpes and acne.
