Hi Red-heads! Just a quick note to let you know I’ll be a guest artist this weekend (September 20) at ToonFest in in Marceline, Missouri.

Celebrating its 16th year! ToonFest takes place in Walt Disney’s childhood home, Marceline, Missouri and  the 2014 headliners are cartoonists Steven Artley, Hilary Price, Bill Hinds, Guy Gilchrist, and yours truly! The day kicks off with a parade that features bands, floats, Princesses, Pirates, Grand Marshalls, and more! The day continues with activities, food and fun for the whole family, including a symposium by myself and other cartoonists and an international cartoon art show.

If you’re in the area, please come by and say “hello!”

I also have some artwork in the Kenosha Festival of Cartooning’s charity auction. It’s a watercolor sketch of Perry the Platypus from Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars, and, though it isn’t Red’s Planet related, i though I’d mention it since it’s rare that I have any original art available for purchase.

You can check it out here: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/kenosha-cartooning-festival-ncs-foundation-auction and learn more about the festival here: http://kenoshacartoonfest.blogspot.com/

And, finally, for those who continue to ask why I haven’t updated the comic, please refer to June 29th, 2014 post “Reubens, Star Wars, and the Future of Red”. I should be able to say about that in the next week.
